fischer advocaten is a law firm specialized in providing legal aid to people who are dealing with poverty and exclusion. We assist people with and without a residence permit with regard to social provisions. In our casework we use international treaties and European Union law.
We assist people with legal problems with the Dutch government. We help people who are denied social assistance benefits by the municipality, sickness benefits by the UWV or toeslagen by the tax authorities. We do not litigate against the IND (immigration law). We work on the basis of legal aid. The current income limits can be found at www.rechtsbijstand.nl. If you live at or just above social assistance level, we will help you with an application for bijzondere bijstand to cover the applicable personal contribution for legal aid.

The lawyers are supported by Judith Rümke. She has full access to the case files and can answer most questions about your case. She will consult your laywer and will only transfer calls to a lawyer if it is necessary. This way we ensure that your lawyer can be fully focussed on your case.
We do not have walk-in hours. You can always come by during opening hours. Do you want to be sure that you can speak to a lawyer? Please make an appointment by phone first. We can then assess in advance whether we can accept your case. You can also fill in the contact form. We will contact you.
Please note: our office is located on the second floor. If you are unable to climb stairs, our lawyers will visit you.
We can be reached by phone or at our office Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m, or by appointment.
Do you need advice about a letter from the government (for example the municipality, UWV or the tax authorities)? Please include the date of that letter or decision.
